Our Invitation

We live in busy times. We live in uncertain times. We live in fast times where opportunities to recenter, rethink and renew are precious and rare. It’s easy to lose track of what is vital to our souls when we are trying to keep up with all the things we must do just to make it from one day to the next. However, just a few hundred meters from the city streets of Dusseldorf there is a place where all one can find peace and refreshment for the soul.

Heart of Wonder invites people to experience refreshment of the soul in a quiet, forested environment. In this place wonder can be renewed. Wonder found in creation; wonder in our own creation; wonder in exploring God’s word; wonder in worship; wonder in our relationship with the living God.

The programs offered by Heart of Wonder are rooted in biblical principles while incorporating evidence-based stress management and pastoral practices.

Our Vision

Heart of Wonder’s desire is to support the English-speaking Christian community of various traditions by providing a place for wonder to be restored. Here in the forest of the Grafenberger Wald one can explore renewal through guided classes in art (painting, drawing, ceramics), music, forest walks, Bible studies, programs in stress management, and more. These can be experienced in groups or alone, guided or unguided. You decide how you want to spend the time.
